As of May 1, 2022, Vietnam has become the seventy-ninth member country to accept ATA Carnets for the temporary, duty-and tax-free importation of various types of goods, per an announcement provided by the United States Council for International Business (USCIB). New ATA Carnets to Brazil Suspended

Effective immediately ATA Carnet use for temporary entry into Brazil is suspended! Roanoke has been informed by the US Council for International Business that until further notice we cannot issue ATA Carnets to Brazil. The mandate to act as the ATA Carnet guarantee association (NGA) in Brazil that was given to Confederação Nacional da Indústria/Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) by the Brazilian Customs and Federal Revenue of Brazil is set to expire June 30, 2021. ATA Carnet Updates: Italy and China

The ICC World Chamber Federation, the organization that administers the ATA Carnet system, has released two country-specific operational changes relating to the usage of the ATA Carnet. Italy Inland Customs ports in Italy will no longer be using the re-exportation vouchers and counterfoils to clear temporary exports leaving inland ports. The Customs officers will require blue transit vouchers and counterfoils according to articles no. 70 and no. 91 of the Italian Customs’ instructions.
